— Our firm
We do a small number of things, and we do them carefully.
pucukadva Advisory was founded to fill a specific gap: structured, written advisory work for firms that are too small for large consulting firms and too serious for informal advice.
— Our Story
How pucukadva Advisory came to be
pucukadva Advisory was established in Shah Alam to address a straightforward need. Many industrial SMEs in the Klang Valley reach inflection points — a weak quarter, a sourcing problem, an unexpected approach from a buyer — and find there is no natural place to turn for considered, structured thinking from someone without a stake in the outcome.
Large consulting firms are not interested in engagements of this size. Informal advisors rarely produce written work that the firm can use later. pucukadva was built to sit between those two points: structured enough to be useful, small enough to be personal.
Our work is concentrated on three engagement types. Each has a defined scope, a fixed fee, and ends with a written document. We take on a limited number of engagements at any one time so that the work receives proper attention.
— Our Position
What guides how we work
Candour over comfort
We will say what we observe. If the picture is not flattering, that is the picture. A summary that tells you only what you already know is not worth the fee.
Brevity over volume
Our deliverables are deliberately short. A twelve-page summary that gets read and acted on is more valuable than a sixty-page report that sits on a shelf.
No open-ended arrangements
Every engagement has a start date, an end date, and a fixed fee. We do not offer retainer arrangements or ongoing subscriptions.
Senior time on every file
The advisor who meets you is the advisor who does the work. We do not use junior associates to conduct field visits on behalf of senior partners.
— The People
Who you will be working with

— How We Work
Professional standards we hold
Client Confidentiality
Nothing shared during an engagement is passed to other clients, third parties, or used as reference material. Each client's information is held separately and destroyed at the close of the file.
Written Scope
Every engagement begins with a written scope document. This defines what will be done, the timeline, the fee, and what will be delivered. There are no verbal understandings.
Conflict of Interest
We do not hold commercial interests in the firms we advise, nor in their suppliers or competitors. If a conflict of interest arises or is perceived, we disclose it before proceeding.
Independent Position
We do not bring in our own panel of suppliers, introduce referral partners, or earn fees from third parties in connection with our advisory work. Our only income is the engagement fee.
Clear Communication
We respond to client queries within one working day. Progress is communicated at regular intervals. There are no periods of silence during an engagement.
Data Handling
Financial documents, management accounts, and commercial information provided by clients are handled carefully and stored only for the duration required by the engagement.
— Our Context
Advisory work for the Klang Valley industrial sector
The Klang Valley's industrial corridor — running through Shah Alam, Subang, Klang, and Petaling Jaya — is home to a large number of manufacturing firms, component suppliers, and B2B service businesses. Many of these are owner-managed, with between twenty and three hundred employees, and have been operating for ten to thirty years.
These firms face advisory needs that do not fit neatly into the offerings of large consulting firms or audit practices. A plant owner who wants to understand why margins have compressed over two years needs a different kind of engagement from a conglomerate seeking a market entry strategy. pucukadva Advisory was built around that understanding.
Our three engagement types address the situations that come up most frequently in this type of firm: a general health check when something feels off, a supplier review when the supply chain has shown its vulnerabilities, and M&A preparation when a credible buyer has made contact. All three are fixed-scope, fixed-fee, and conclude with a written document the firm keeps.
A conversation costs nothing
If you are thinking about one of our engagements, a short call or note is usually enough to clarify whether it is the right fit for your situation.
